New Delhi, 29 January 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in temporary upgradation of the following posts:
To Extension in upgradation of the post of Chairperson, Central Board of Secondary Education from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary, presently held by Shri Rahul Singh, lAS (BH:96), for a term up to 25.03.2027;
Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance, presently held by Shri Alok Pandey, lPoS:94, fora term up to 24.11.2026;
Extension in upgradation of the post of DS/Director to the level of Additional Secretary in Department of Science & Technology, presently held by Shri Sunil Kumar, IFoS (PB:95), for a term up to 08.01.2027: and
Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Ministry of Heavy Industries, presently held by Shri Hanif Qureshi, lPS (HY:96), for a term up to 07.01.2027.
