New Delhi, 16 January 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has, approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for appointment of Shri Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS (HP: 1994), SDG, NIA, as Director General, National Investigation Agency, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and upto 31.08.2028 i.e. date of superannuation or until further orders.
