ACC has Approved the Appointments of Senior Officer on Foreign & Captive Post, Govt. of India

New Delhi, 05 July 2024: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments for filling up of following Foreign and Captive posts of the Government of India:

1. Appointment of Shri Ashutosh Jindal, lAS (TR:1995) to the post of Minister (Economic) in the
Economic Wing, Embassy of India, Washington DC, USA, by temporarily upgrading the post to Additional Secretary level, (a Foreign Post of Govt. of India) under Department of Economic Affairs vice Shri Ravi Kota, lAS (AM:1993), for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, by curtailing the tenure of his Central deputation as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat under the Central Staffing Scheme.

2. Appointment of Shri Nikunj Kumar Srivastava, lAS (MP:1998) to the post of Senior Adviser to the Executive Director, World Bank, Washington DC, USA, by temporarily upgrading the post to Additional Secretary level, (A Captive Post of Govt. of India) under Department of Economic Affairs vice Shri Rajeev Topno, lAS (GJ:1996), for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.

3. Appointment of Shri Hrisheekesh Arvind Modak, lAS (MN:2008) to the post of Adviser to the Executive Director, World Bank, Washington DC, USA, (A Captive Post of Govt. of India) under Department of Economic Affairs vice Shri Rajender Kumar, lAS (GJ:2004), for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, by curtailing the tenure of Central deputation of the officer as Director, PMO under the Central Staffing Scheme.

4. Appointment of Ms. Anshika Arora, IES (2010) to the Post of Counsellor (Services), Permanent Mission of India (PMI), World Trade Organization (WTO), Geneva, (A Foreign Post of Govt. of India) under Department of Commerce vice Ms. Sangeeta Saxena, IES (2001), on completion of her approved tenure to this post on 18 July 2024, for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, by curtailing the tenure of her Central deputation as Deputy Secretary, Department of Commerce under the Central Staffing Scheme.

5. Appointment of Shri Ashutosh Salil, lAS (MH:2010) to the post of Adviser (Industry & Engineering), Embassy of India, Brussels, (A Foreign Post of Govt. of India) under Department of Commerce vice Shri N Ashok Kumar, IAS(MN:2004), for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.

6. Appointment of Shri Prasanth Chandran, IES (2007) to the post of Director in Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Secretariat, Dhaka (A Captive Post of Govt. of India) under the Ministry of External Affairs vice Shri Naresh Kumar, IFS (2008), for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.
