New Delhi, 10 November 2025: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade for extension in the Central deputation tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme of Shri Karan Thapar, IRS (C&CE: 2009), Director in the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade for a period of one year beyond 16.02.2026 to 16.02.2027 or until further orders.
