New Delhi, 31 May 2023: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments for filling up of various Foreign and Captive posts of the Government of India at Deputy Secretary/Director/Joint Secretary level:
1. Appointment of Dr. Jujjavarapu Balaji, lAS (AM:2001) to the post of Minister (Agriculture), Embassy of
India, Rome, Italy (a Joint Secretary level Foreign Post) under D/o Agriculture & Farmers Welfare vice Sh.
B. Rajender, lAS (BH:1995), for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post
or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
2. Appointment of Shri Angshumali Rastogi, IRSME (1995) to the post of Representative of India in the
Council of International Civil Aviation Organization (lCAO), Montreal, Canada (a Joint Secretary level
Captive Post) under Ministry of Civil Aviation vice Ms. Shefali Juneja, IRS (IT:1992) for a tenure of three
years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
3. Appointment of Ms. Nidhi Mani Tripathi, lAS (MN:2001) to the post of Minister (Economic), High
Commission of India, London, UK (a Joint Secretary level Foreign Post) under D/o Commerce vice Sh.
Manish Singh, lAS (MP:1 997) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
4. Appointment of Shri Anand Singh, lAS (KL:2000) to the post of Senior Adviser to the Executive Director,
International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington DC, USA (a Joint Secretary level Captive Post) under D/o
Economic Affairs vice Sh. T. Natarajan, lAS (GJ:1996) for a tenure of three years from the date of
assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
5. Appointment of Shri Hemang Jani, Secretary, Capacity Building Commission to the post of Senior Adviser to the Executive Director, World Bank, Washington DC, USA (a Joint Secretary level Captive Post) under D/o Economic Affairs vice Sh. Ritesh Kumar Singh, lAS (KN:1996) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
6. Appointment of Sh. Ponnuraj V., lAS (KN:2000) to the post of Senior Adviser to the Executive Director,
Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila, Philippines (a Joint Secretary level Captive Post) under D/o
Economic Affairs vice Sh. Prashant Goyal, lAS (AGMUT:1993) for a tenure of three years from the date of
assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
7. Appointment of Ms. Debjani Chakrabarti, lAS (OD:2002) to the post of Minister (Economic & Commercial), Embassy of India, Tokyo, Japan (a Joint Secretary level Foreign Post) under D/o Economic Affairs vice Ms. Mona K C Khandhar, lAS (GJ: 1996) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
8. Appointment of Dr. Venkatesh Palani Samy, Agricultural Research Service (2007), Senior Scientist,
lCAR-lARl to the post of Adviser (Agriculture & Marine Products), Embassy of India, Brussels (a DS /Director level Foreign Post) under DIo Commerce vice Dr. Smita Sirohi, Scientist ICAR for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
9. Appointment of Ms. Nidhi Srivastava, lAS (AGMUT:2010) to the post of First Secretary (Legal),Permanent
Mission of India (PMI), World Trade Organization (WTO), Geneva (a DS/Director level Foreign post) under
D/o Commerce vice Sh. Rakesh Kumar, ITS (2005) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption
of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
10. Appointment of Shri Sai Venkata Ramana Anhl Das to the post of Adviser to the Executive Director, World Bank, Washington DC, USA (a DS/Director level Captive post) under D/o Economic Affairs vice Sh. Suresh Yadav, IRS (lT:1 994) for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Appointment of Shri Vivek Chaudhary, IES (2011) to the post of Counsellor (Economic), Economic Wing, Embassy of India, Washington DC, USA (a DS/Director level Foreign Post) under D/o Economic Affairs vice Sh.
