The ACC has Approved the Appointment of Sr. Officer at Joint Secretary Level, GoI

New Delhi, 18 March 2024: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments of officers at Joint Secretary / Joint Secretary Level:

1. Appointment of Shri Deepankar Aron, IRS (C&IT:1996), as Joint Secretary,
   Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, from the date of assumption of
   charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is
   earlier, vice Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE (1996)
2. Appointment of Shri Harish Kumar Vashisth, IRS (C&IT:2001), as Joint DG,
   Directorate General of Civil Aviation under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, from
   the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further
   orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Puja Singh Mandol, IA&AS (1995);
3. Appointment of Shri Siddharth Mahajan, IAS (RJ:2003), as Joint Secretary,
   Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an
   overall tenure of three years upto 07/11/2024, extendable for a combined tenure of
   seven years upto 07/11/2028 subject to availability of Cadre Clearance, or until
   further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Krishan Kumar, IAS (OD:2002);
4. Appointment of Shri Anand Madhukar, IRPS (1997), as Addl DG, Archaelogical
   Survey of India under the Ministry of Culture, from the date of assumption of
   charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is
   earlier, vice Shri Rakesh Singh Lal IOFS (1988);
5. Appointment of Ms. Swati Meena Naik, IAS (MP:2007), as Joint Secretary,
   Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, from the date of assumption of
   charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 02/08/2028 or until further
   orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Samir Kumar, IES (1995);
6. Appointment of Shri Ravi Shanakar, IAS (GJ:2007), as Joint Secretary,
   Department of Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of charge
   of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 31/07/2028 or until further orders,
   whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Palka Sahni, lAS (BH:2004);
7. Appointment of Shri Gulzar N, IAS (AP:1999), as Joint Secretary, Department of
   Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a
   tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Richa
   Sharma, lAS (CG:1994);
8. Appointment of Shri Manoj Kumar Jain, IRAS (2000), as ED (Engg/IT), FCI HQ
   under the Department of Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption
   of charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is

9. Appointment of Shri Pushpendra Rajput, IAS (HP:1999), as Joint Secretary,
   Department of Health & Family Welfare, from the date of assumption of charge of

10. Appointment of Shri Saurabh Jain, IAS (KL:2002), as Joint Secretary,
    Department of Health & Family Welfare, from the date of assumption of charge of

11. Appointment of Shri Mihir Kumar, IDAS (1996), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of
    Home Affairs , from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of five

12. Appointment of Shri Parthasarathi Gurrala, CSS, as Joint Secretary, Ministry of
    Home Affairs, from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure upto
    his superannuation on 31/12/2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice
    Shri Sanjeev Sehgal, IRSEE (1997);
13. Appointment of Shri Abhijit Sinha, IAS (NL:2000), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of
    Home Affairs, from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of five

14. Appointment of Shri Vipul Aggarwal, IPS (GJ: 2001), as Principal Commissioner,
    Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban
    Affairs, from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five
    years upto 15/03/2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Rajeev

17. Appointment of Shri Bhaskar Choradia, IRAS (2000), as Addl CPFC (Hq),
    Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labour
    & Employment, from the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a tenure of

18. Appointment of Shri Sanjay Pandey, ICAS (1994), as FA & CAO, Employees’
