New Delhi, 04 April 2025: Dr. Poonam Gupta has been appointed as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. She was serving as Director General of the National Council of Applied Economic Research, New Delhi. She assumed her charge as Deputy Governor of RBI on 1st of this month for three years. The post was vacant after Michael Debaprata Patra resigned as Deputy Governor in January 2025
