Chandigarh, 07 December 2024: Ahead of the imposition of the model code of conduct for the urban civic polls to be announced soon, the Punjab Government on Friday issued posting and transfer orders of 10 IAS and 22 PCS officers.
With elections to Amritsar and Jalandhar MC set to be announced, Shri Rakesh Kumar has been posted as Additional Commissioner of MC Jalandhar; Shri Surinder Singh as Additional Commissioner and Shri Jai Inder Singh as Joint Commissioner of MC Amritsar.
Shri Ravi Bhagat, Special Principal Secretary to CM, will continue to hold the fort in the Chief Minister’s Office, and his charge of Medical Education and Research department has been given to Health secretary Kumar Rahul.
Shri Sarvjit Singh has been relieved of both Governance Reforms and Forest department, with Governance Reforms going to Shri Vikas Pratap and Forests and Wildlife Preservation being given to Shri Priyank Bharti.
Finance Secretary Shri A K Sinha has got the additional charge of Power department, which was earlier with Shri Rahul Tiwari.
