New Delhi, 24 September 2024: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the following appointments:
(a) Appointment of (i) Shri Rithwik Rudra, IPS (HP:93) (ii) Dr. Mahesh Dixit, IPS (AP:93) (iii) Shri Praveen Kumar, IPS (WB:93) and (iv) Shri Arvind Kumar, IPS (BH:93), Addi. Director, 18 as Special Director IB on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the posts of Addi. Director held by them for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.
(b) Appointment of Shri Praveer Ranjan, IPS (AGMUT:93), ADG, CISF as Special Director General in CISF on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders.
(c) Appointment of Shri Vitul Kumar, IPS (UP:93), ADG, CRPF as Special Director General, CRPF against existing vacancy from the date of assumption of charge of the post and till date of his superannuation i.e. 31.08.2028 or until further orders.
(d) Appointment of Shri R Prasad Meena, IPS (AM:93), ADG, BSF as Special Director General, BSF against existing vacancy from the date of assumption of charge of the post and till date of his superannuation i.e. 31.07.2025 or until further orders.
(e) Appointment of Shri Amit Garg, IPS (AP:93) as Director, SVPNPA against existing vacancy from the date of assumption of charge of the post and till date of his superannuation i.e. 31.10.2027 or until further orders.
